On Wednesday February 22, Bloorview School Authority joined with the hospital and many schools and organizations across the country in recognizing Pink Shirt Day. In 2007 two boys in Nova Scotia took a stand against bullying in their school when they bought and distributed 50 pink shirts, this after a boy in their school was bullied for wearing a pink shirt on the first day of school. Their initiative has continued and grown across the country. Bloorview students send the messages Down With Bullying and Up With Kids Making a Difference!
